When I first sat down with a blank screen five years ago, I had no idea where the journey would take me—or how much it would change me. Writing my award winning Winds of Change Trilogy while being a mom and entrepreneur wasn’t just a creative challenge; it was a lesson in perseverance, time management, and faith.

Fast forward to today, and I can hardly believe it myself: in just over a year, I’ve released all three novels in my trilogy and won three literary awards for my work. That’s five years of writing and rewriting, followed by a whirlwind of edits, designs, launches, and endless cups of coffee.
The journey hasn’t been easy. There were times when I doubted myself—when the combination of writing, editing, marketing, laundry and school runs felt like they were zapping my energy, leaving me wondering if I’d ever become a successful author. But I kept going, driven by the story I had to tell and the hope that one day, readers like you would fall in love with them too.

What kept me going?
The five years it took to write these books weren’t just about learning the craft—they were about something deeper. From the moment I put words to the page, it felt almost like a calling, as if I was meant to tell these stories. There were days when the words wouldn’t come easily, but I kept going, driven by a sense of purpose I couldn’t ignore. It was as though the characters and their journeys had been waiting for me to bring them to life, teaching me about resilience, emotion, and the intricate balance of storytelling along the way. For me, this was an almost spiritual experience and reminder of the power of perseverance and the beauty of creation.
Life Happens Between Drafts
Being a mom during this process reminded me that some of life’s best moments happen off the page. My daughters inspired me daily, teaching me to pause, breathe, and cherish the little wins—both in writing and in life.
The Power of Faith
When I leaned into my faith and embraced the stories I felt compelled to share, everything changed. Writing about survival and revival helped me find strength in my own journey. From my family’s unwavering support to the heartfelt encouragement of my readers, I realized I wasn’t alone in this. These stories remind us all why resilience matters and why sharing our truths can inspire others to keep going.
Why release a trilogy in One Year
The decision to release all three books in such a short time was a bold one. After spending years shaping these stories, I wanted to give readers the full arc without making them wait. I knew how I felt about binge-worthy series and couldn’t wait to offer that same experience to my audience.
What’s Next?

As I prepare to launch Twilight’s Brightest Star on November 22, I can’t help but feel a mix of nostalgia and excitement as this journey comes full circle. This culmination of years of hard work and heartache, inspired by my own family’s experiences. At its core, this story is about overcoming fear, finding the strength to pursue your dreams, and discovering that life’s challenges often lead to unexpected blessings. Writing this book reminded me of the power of hope and faith in navigating life’s twists and turns, and I pray it inspires readers to do the same.
My hope is that it resonates with readers who have faced their own struggles, celebrated their own victories, and found their own version of resilience.
For the writer moms out there balancing it all, I want you to know it’s possible. You can chase your dreams while raising a family. It may take longer than you planned, and it may look different than you imagined, but the joy in reaching that finish line is worth every late night and early morning.
If you’ve been following my journey, thank you. Your encouragement has meant more to me than you’ll ever know. And if you’re new here, welcome! I hope these stories—both on the page and behind the scenes—remind you that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.
Here’s to the next adventure!
Stay Wild,
